About Me – Christine Hopfgarten

Experienced psychotherapist Christine Hopfgarten offering online and in-person psychotherapy, specialising in EMDR

I’m Christine, the owner of Infinitum Therapy, and I have been working as a psychotherapist and counsellor for over 20 years. I live in the beautiful rural county of Shropshire and see clients both face-to-face locally in Ludlow and online across the UK.

I see therapy as a space where you can truly be seen, understood, and supported — a place that enables you to move through difficulties, feel more connected with yourself and others, and experience growth and transformation. I believe that truly effective therapy is not only about being skilled in techniques and therapeutic modalities, but also about creating an experience that enables clients to feel safe, understood, and empowered to change.

My passion is helping people make sense of their thoughts and emotions, understand the patterns in their lives, and overcome difficulties that feel stuck.

I believe that everyone has the potential to live the life they want, and sometimes we just need support to get there.

I have worked with people from a wide variety of backgrounds, helping with many different challenges. I specialise in helping adults navigate trauma, PTSD, complex emotional patterns, relationship difficulties and difficult childhood experiences. I work with people who want not just symptom relief, but deeper understanding and lasting change. This can include addiction, neurodiversity and issues that are closely tied to how we relate to ourselves and others, such as anxiety and depression. My approach is thoughtful and reflective, and I am skilled at helping clients uncover deeper patterns that may be holding them back.

My work is informed by both professional training and personal experience. Alongside my qualifications, I bring an understanding of the joys and challenges of life, which helps me connect with clients in a grounded and empathetic way.
